Please come see me and all my artist friends at the Hockessin Art Festival, an annual fundraising effort to benefit the Wilmington & Western Railroad. I will have some new originals including some new media pieces. I will also have lots of affordable prints and of course my wonderful collection of more than 75 note cards!
More than 20 local artists will be displaying and selling limited edition prints, original watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, sculpture, fine jewelry, mosaics and more! 30% of all art sales go directly to supporting the Wilmington & Western.
The Wilmington & Western is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, and although we receive a significant portion of our income from ticket sales, we cannot rely on passenger revenue alone. The income raised from the Art Festival supports our train operations, restoration projects, track maintenance and much more.
While attending the Art Festival, take a break from shopping by riding the Art Festival Express. Our unique 1929 Pennsylvania Railroad "Doodlebug" railcar will depart from outside the Art Festival, and our friendly train crew will take you on a 40-minute round-trip through the towns of Yorklyn and Ashland.
